This is sad, in some way.
Do people also bicycle a lot in Norway? I live in a university city and there are bicycles and bicyclists everywhere. One very rarely sees bicycles left to such a fate as on your pictures, as they are a precious transportation to many students.

I always wonder who would abandon their bikes like that.

You don't see people biking in Norway like they do in Denmark or the Netherlands. As the locals here say, there are so many hills and they are all uphill.

Oh that poor bike lying on the cold, cold ground. For some reason I imagine it's sadder than the flattened pigeon I saw on the road yesterday. The pigeon can die and its suffering ends but the bicycle suffers on...

Gosh. Now I feel bad for the bike! The one frozen in the pond did not upset me as much as the one totally covered in mud after spending months in the woods. It was just so pathetic-looking, y'know?
