Karma queen

I like to think I'm not quite like other people. Usually, I'm right. Sometimes it amuses me greatly to suddenly feel myself a part of some great joined consciousness or group experience. It's not often, so for me it's like visiting a relative I rarely see. The rest of the time, I march to the beat of my own drum, and hear no echo. Then I read this about new classes of consumers:

A karma queen, for example, is identified as a woman aged in her 40s or 50s who tends to buy organic food, wear Birkenstock footwear, practice yoga and buy high-end bath products.

Except for the Birkenstocks, that's me to a T. Well, at least I'm something royal.

I'll loan you a pair of Birkies if you'll teach me some yoga -- then we'll be two peas in a pod! ;-D

I know what you mean. I don't fit into any group, except apparently "women who wear leggings under dresses and like cupcakes." Okay.

I'm 1/2 of a karma queen. I buy organic food and do yoga. High-end bath products? naah. Birkies? :P

lol

As I'm going into business for myself I'm tending to get more into heels, actually. Think professional. :)

Paula, that makes you unique. I don't wear leggings. Cupcakes are not exactly a Norwegian thing, and are called muffins whether or not they are sweet and/or frosted.

Sravana, not all professions wear high heels. If you're going to do a lot of standing, you might want to try those Massai shoes. They're easier on the knees and back. No, I don't own a pair, myself (co-workers do). I'd like to own a pair of cowboy boots. Does that make me special? ;-)

Alice, I'll teach yoga without the Birks. :-)

Karma Queen seems accurate yet wrong, somehow.
