Blogrolls and such

I do like blogrolls. During more bored moments, I will surf the entire menu of links on someone's blog and sometimes discover a few gems. But I did like Paula's idea about not having a blogroll for two reasons: 1) It's no longer a list of who's in and who's out (for those folks saddled with such problems), and 2) Less maintainance. I manage my template manually and that's one reason why I don't tweak links and such all that often.

So instead: I give you the link to my del.icio.us page o' blogs (some are in Norwegian, too, and a lot have to do with web design). As of this writing, there are 64 links under that tag. (And already I can see I need to update.)

That's cool. I'm going to follow up my non-blogrolling with Google sharing of posts or sites I find especially interesting, cute, etc. Have to set that up.

I ditched my blogroll weeks ago, although I never wrote anything re: doing so, and now everyone is following the trend? awesome. :)

I was sick of people asking to trade links or getting pissy because I didn't reciprolink or whatever. It wasn't worth the headache....

I give Dawn credit for putting the idea in my head a while back, though I didn't do it until I started getting into all the Google extras. After a week or so of this, I can report that my online experience has improved tremendously, and now I have way more time to surf for kitty porn.

The ho'oponopono adventure continues

Ever since I discovered the ho'oponopono practice of forgiveness and healing about 3 years ago , I have used it, pursued it, and experienced healings big and small. I have taught it to a few friends. To my delight, they have embraced it and discovered for themselves the instant peace that comes with cleaning (as using ho'oponopono is called; you are cleaning your subconscious of unhelpful beliefs). Getting my beliefs challenged

I own the extended DVD set of "What the #$*! Do We (K)now!?" , also known as "Down the Rabbit Hole". I can't remember now how my browsing the internet today started, but I ended up learning a lot about the science in "What the Bleep": It's terribly inaccurate. There are other inaccuracies or downright errors, but for the most part quantum mechanics only work on quantum levels, not at sizes like a basketball or a universe or even a mere atom. And that spoils all New Age claims that it is quantum physics that explain the Law of Attraction or any other woo-woo belief, like spontaneous healing, psychic phenomenon or near-death experiences. Dang. I was so hoping science could explain these things by now. My surfing has brought me to The Committee for Skeptical Inquiry . There I have found good writing, and proper skepticism.
