Would you have your mother euthanised if she couldn't walk very well and needed help to eat?

My cat WANTS to be here, otherwise he wouldn't be here. The will to live for humans and animals is something you can't and shouldn't take for granted.

My loves me and would do anything for me, as I him. You see? It works both ways.

He's given everything to me, now it's my turn to give everything back to him as he needs me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750259.post-1115501274658862252005-05-07T23:27:00.000+02:002005-05-07T23:27:00.000+02:00Dear anonymous: If your cat is too weak to even gr...Dear anonymous: If your cat is too weak to even greet you or walk, aren't you torturing it by keeping it alive?

We humans have a responsibility to our pets and that includes being willing to let them go so as not to cause them any more pain or loss of quality of life. Our pets will sacrifice for our sake, so the decision is always ours.Keera Ann Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07466103379725251225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750259.post-1115173162093498312005-05-04T04:19:00.001+02:002005-05-04T04:19:00.001+02:00I happened to have run across your blog. And, you...I happened to have run across your blog. And, you can just not read this if you don't want to, but I'm going to be truthful here.

Your cat was only 14. I am currently dealing with a 15 1/2 year old cat that has a lot more problems than your cat.

You have the money to take your cat to a decent vet. The licking and digestion situation could have been worked out btw. I have dealt with (and cured) much much worse in my cat.

I dealt with diarrhea (and cured it, just use the internet to find out how to deal with it, ie, raw food diets). My cat currently is very very sick. He has to be carried to the bathroom. He's weak, but I do not think it is my place to euthanize my cat UNLESS he was seriously dying.

You basically took a healthy, but aging cat and killed her.

Shame on you.

PS, I'm sorry I am the only person to tell you this, instead of sympathy, but I read the symptoms and those were nothing.

Unless you are committed to a cat FOREVER, in SICKNESS and in HEALTH you should never own another animal or have children, nor have a lifemate.

I'm sorry, but your blog entry was pretty infuriating. I would be so happy right now IF MY CAT could greet me, but he's too weak to do that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750259.post-1115173142942921142005-05-04T04:19:00.000+02:002005-05-04T04:19:00.000+02:00I happened to have run across your blog. I was afraid of not catching Sammy in time if something went wrong. As for getting a new cat, that's not an option right now. I don't have the network I need for that, which was one reason I couldn't keep Sammy longer. Thanks for the tip about a better comment service. I'll look into that eventually.Keera Ann Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07466103379725251225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750259.post-1107967983947798632005-02-09T17:53:00.000+01:002005-02-09T17:53:00.000+01:00Thanks, Sravana.
